Howdy, my name is Willy and I've been playing CSGO ever since source and that was back then when I was still sharing accounts with my brother. I started with Source then moved to TF2/CSGO to where a whole new world was opened to me by playing these games. I loved playing PC ever since I was young and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. As for my real life, I graduated from High School and moving onto college where I'm going to be studying Pre-Med. Hobbies are Boxing, Running and of course playing CS!
Staff Experience
My Staff experience ranges from 7 years ago where I started as a Young Moderator at a TF2 Trade Server. My duties were to enforce the rules on the trade server, go to staff meetings and occasionally make fun events for the people playing the game. I then moved onto Garry's Mod where I was a Staff Manager at a large scale DarkRP community called "CSG" and my duties would be hiring/firing, making meetings, creating SOP's and so much more. I had a blast in that community until I found out the Community Owner was stealing funds from the server to buy drugs, I resigned and eventually community members found out about the mishap and the community went into shambles. After Garry's Mod, I moved then to FiveM which is a Grand Theft Auto V Mod where you can be PD, such like PoliceRP. I was a Staff Director at a community called Sunshine State RP where my duties were to hire/fire, make sure the staff were doing their jobs, enforce rules and much more. I eventually left due to having a busy Junior Year in highschool and testing such like the ACT/SAT for College. After that, I moved back to Garry's Mod where I was a Superadmin (Management Team) for a large scale Garry's Mod Community called Gaminglight. My Duties would be to look down below all other staffers, report to the manager and enforce the rules. I eventually left that community due to a corrupt Head of Staff, he was eventually blacklisted from the community a couple months after I resigned. Then that leads me here, writing this application.
Why should I be Staff?
I believe I should be staff due to my knowledge in Valve produced games and the experience I bring to the table. Over 7 years at a plethora of communities, I've seen about all and done about all you could think of whether it was calling the police due to internet crimes or talking to someone's mom about a recent Ban I imposed, I really have done it all. I also know what works in communities and as well does NOT work in communities, I believe from the mistakes that I've seen in the past I can bring some great ideas on the table in order to keep this community healthy and alive. My knowledge on these Valve produced games as well gleam over this application, over 3 accounts I have roughly almost 30k hours on all Valve Made games whether it's CS , TF2, Dota 2 or Half Life. I know my way around Source and I believe I can become a great Staff member if given the opportunity to! I as well forgot to mention that I'm a people person and I love to interact with people everyday and learn from their stories, I feel like that's one of the treats of becoming a staff member. But now a days, I feel like their is a misconception on Staff Members and it's the idea that Staff Members are only here to Ban/Kick people for their own good. But what I want people know is that is completely false, a Staff Member is supposed to be there for any new player needing any assistance on Discord or the server, a Staff member is there to educate and redefine people in the server and lastly they are there to make sure people are having fun and being safe, because at the end of the day all of us playing videogames are just wanting to have fun and getting ourselves away from the chaos our world is faced with in these difficult times.
Times I'm able to get on
I can get on everyday at any hour over the summer, when college starts. I'm done with all my classes by 10 AM everyday, so the rest of the day is for me to relax and get on the server.
What Stands you out from other Candidates?
I believe what sets me apart from other Candidates applying for staff is my mass experience in Staffing Roles and in the workplace and my attributes that nicely fit with the expectations of Staff. I've obviously talked about my previous experiences on other Valve Communities and how I could bring ideas to the table but I as well have real life experience from working Customer Service all through out High School. I understand how to talk to people, and more importantly listen to what they have to say. For 3+ years, I would have to take care of people with issues like an ordinary staff member would on the server and we'd have to find the root to the problem to find a solution. I believe I can integrate those experiences into this Staff Role and use my skills to better help the community and the people surrounding this community. I as well believe my attributes listed down below are a big stand out for me applying towards staff. I'm a person that never gets angry and always tries to make something out of nothing or make a situation from bad to good. I always try to find the positive out of things and work with people in order to maintain a healthy stream of content through Social Media, Discord and the Surf Server. A stand out from the list would be a passion for helping others, that's what drives me everyday and that's why I love to Staff on Communities, the Community Members always come first.
