What was the situation before you got banned: We made jokes saying "Im not gay but $20 is $20" and I said the F word (i don't remember the exact context i was talking in but i'm certain it wasn't directed at anyone in particular)

Are you in the wrong or in the right: I was in the wrong.
If punishment is deserved provide an alternative you would like that you yourself think is fair.

I was unaware of the rule at the time of the ban and heard it at one point on the server, and it went unpunished (no admins were online) and I assumed since then it was allowed.
